The Town of Ashland City will hold its Second Annual River & Roots Festival on April 22, 2017 at Riverbluff Park from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Second Annual River & Roots Festival is a great way to kick on the spring season and celebrating Earth Day by getting outdoors, connecting with locals and visitors while supporting the community by attending a free, fun, family festival!
Second Annual River and Roots Festival hosted by The Town of Ashland City, Tennessee April 22, 2017.The day will be comprised of activities for the whole family including-
40+ craft, food, and community vendors
Free 45 minute cruises aboard The Blue Heron on the Cumberland River starting at 10:30 a.m.
Live music will be enjoyed at the Farmers Market Pavilion, sponsored by local Ashland City business SheyeGirl Coffee Co. with the following performers:
- 10:00 a.m. folk country duo The Rushings
- 11:00 a.m.Erin Viancourt, a Nashville based artist with an underground pop/rock sound and roots voice
- 12:00 p..m. Bee Taylor kicks off the noon hour with some modern traditional country music
- 1:00 p.m. multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Roxanna Jane closes the daily acts
Ashland City Mayor Rick Johnson states the city is growing and the Second Annual River & Roots Festival is only one of the many upcoming 2017 events sponsored by the Town of Ashland City offering locals and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a little hometown ambiance.
