The Cheatham County School District will sponsor Kindergarten Round-Up on April 22, 2017 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at each elementary school.

Kindergarten registration in Cheatham County is an exciting event for new students and their families, according to Interim Director of School Stacy Brinkley.

“OUR GOAL IS TO WELCOME EACH CHILD AS THEY ENTER OUR DISTRICT, MEET WITH PARENTS AND STUDENTS TO REVIEW WHAT EVERYONE CAN EXPECT ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND SHARE PERTINENT RESOURCES TO MAKE COMING TO SCHOOL A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR OUR INCOMING STUDENTS,” STATED INTERIM DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS STACY BRINKLEY.

School staff will be available with parent information, provide tours and have fun activities planned.

Children must be 5-years-old on or before August 15, 2017 in order to be eligible to start kindergarten in the fall.

Kindergarten Registration will be held the week of April 17-21, 2017 and parents are encouraged to register their child at the elementary school in their zoned area during the registration week sponsored by Cheatham County School District.  Call your child’s school for specific times.

Parents are requested to bring their child’s certified birth certificate, an up-to-date immunization record, proof of a recent physical exam, Social Security card and three proofs of residence (utility bills, driver’s license, rent/mortgage agreement, auto registration, voter registration).

For more information regarding the registration process or the Kindergarten Round-Up, call your local elementary school or the Cheatham County Board of Education at 615-792-5664.

If you are unsure of the school your child is zoned to attend, you may call the Transportation Department at 615-746-1428 or the Board of Education at 615-792-5664.
