Jerry Cannon, (Jerry Eugene Cannon) born August 20, 1935 peacefully passed away at home on February 9, 2017 at 81 years of age.
Mr. Cannon was a member of Ashland City Church of Christ, served in the United States Navy during the Korean War Conflict, achieving the rank of 3rd Class Gunner’s Mate. After serving his country he farmed and worked for R.D. Herbert Roofing and Sheet Metal Company, Tennessee Sheet Metal and retired in 1996 from Opryland. He was married to his wife, Gail Mayberry for 39 years. She preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Brother Cliett Goodpasture and Brother Drake Jenkins will be officiating.
The family will receive friends today, Friday, February 10, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 11th from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
