Public’s Assistance Sought in Identifying Hit & Run Driver Involved in Fatal Crash

Crash Investigators need the public’s assistance locating the driver of a hit and run incident. According to witnesses a woman was walking on Nolensville Pike, near Welshwood Drive in Nashville when she was struck by a red pickup truck around 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, December 17, 2016. She was estimated to be more than 1,000 feet from the nearest crosswalk. She was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she died. No identification was on the this woman and at this times remains unidentified. Efforts are underway to identify her and locate her family.
The red pickup truck sustained moderate front end damage and is missing most of the grill, according to evidence taken at the scene of the incident.
