Obituary for John Albert Harvey 

John Albert Harvey February 9, 1947 – March 2, 2017 www.austinandbell.com

John Albert Harvey born February 9, 1947, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at home at the age of 70 years.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ashland City and Bordeaux, Tennessee and worked in the publishing industry as a press operator.

John Albert Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Roland and June Harvey.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Harvey; daughters, Pamela (Dale) Cotton of Goodlettsville, Jacki (Josh Jordan) Chester of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Ashlie (Nick) Hasse, Abby Chester; brother-in-law and best friend, David Biggs and Big T; and special friend, Bob Green.

The Harvey family extends appreciation to Alive Hospice as well as all the friends who took time to call, pray and visit during Mr. Harvey’s illness.

JANICE GALE MEADOWS, born March 21, 1958 passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 58 years.

She worked as a factory worker for Red Cap Industries and as a homemaker.

Funeral services was held Friday, March 3, 2017, at 11:00 am with Eddie Nichols officiating. Burial followed in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, James Albert Meadows; and her sisters, Lucy Sensing and Sue Brummet.

She is survived by her children: Angela Demunbreun; Jessie Meadows and Brandi (Matt) Wood; brothers, Bill Ivey, Marvin (Faye) Ivey, Wayne (Joyce) Ivey, Tommy “Eva” Ivey, and Bobby “Ann” Ivey; sisters, Hessie Lee Kennedy, Margie (Ronnie) Barnes, Aileen Reynolds; and two grandchildren, Cameron Jesse Meadows and Mason Conner Meadows.

Obituary for Geneva Walker

Geneva Walker, born July 29, 1933, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Southern Hills Medical Center at the age of 83 years.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 6 o’clock pm, Saturday, March 4th 2017 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tennessee.   Dr. Stanley Outlaw and Rev. Keith Burden will be officiating.

A committal service and burial will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Sunday, March 5th in EverRest of Cheatham with Caleb Walker, Elijah Walker, Chase Tyson, Nehemiah Hernandez, Derek Oakley, and Chris Davenport serving as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 3:00 PM till the hour of service at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tennessee.

Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her parents John and Bena Winstead, Sr. and 13 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Rev. Billy B. Walker; sons, Kevin (Karen) Walker of Paint Rock, AL, Dr. Michael (Wendy) Walker of Nashville; daughter, Shannon (David) Teague of Nashville; brother, David (Gladys) Winstead of Rocky Mount, NC; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Walker was a member of Corner Stone Free Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and was a retired accounting clerk.

Memorial contributions may be made to Free Will Baptist International Missions or Free Will Baptist North American Ministries – The Davenport Account. Donations may be sent in care of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View.
