Jon Michael Pace of Ashland City, Tennessee, former Treasurer of the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department, was arrested today, Friday, January 13, 2017 on charges of theft.

Ten days prior to today’s arrest, on January 3, the Cheatham County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Pace with one count of theft over $1,000.00.

The investigation leading to Pace’s arrest began after 23rd District Attorney Ray Crouch contacted Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on May 23, 2015 with a theft complaint at Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department. TBI Special Agents found data dating from January 2013 and January 2015 revealing the theft complaint was warranted.

According to the TBI (https://tbinews.wordpress.com/2017/01/13/former-vfd-treasurer-arrested-in-tbi-theft-case/) Pace had fraudulently used the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department’s debit bank card for approximately $6,584.00.  A forensic review of the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department, in coordination with the theft investigation, was also conducted by The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury.

As of today, Friday, January 13, Jon Michael Pace of Ashland City, Tennessee, (DOB 5/17/1969) has been booked in the Cheatham County Jail on charges of theft and is being held on a $20,000.00 bond. http://fox17.com/news/local/cheatham-county-volunteer-fire-department-treasures-charged-with-theft
