Cheatham News is excited to announce, since launching in October, traffic following has continued to steadily increase!  Cheatham News will be offering more to its communities and followers in the year ahead!

It was an honor to report for the  I-24 Exchange Newspaper.”         Tonya Steele, Cheatham News, Editor/Reporter

I have reported for the I-24 Exchange Newspaper since February of 2013 but my journey there has ended.  Although no longer reporting for the exchange, I wish Kerry and Dale McCarver the very best and will always be grateful for the opportunity and experience.

Continuing the journey I began at I-24, my goal with Cheatham News is to offer another outlet, through an online website, to keep you informed of the latest news, updates and local events.   Reporting on community organizations, leadership groups, city and county meetings, sharing with you what takes place, how things are changing or staying the same in your communities will be provided.

“NEVER DOUBT A SMALL GROUP OF THOUGHTFUL, COMMITTED CITIZENS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.   INDEED, IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT EVER HAS.”  -Margaret Mead

Great communities don’t just happen and our county has great communities!  Cheatham News is dedicated and focused on working to keep our great community informed on city and county meetings, breaking news, local news, events, county schools, obituaries, inspirational stories and more; we will strive to provide the most accurate information to its followers.

Contact Cheatham News with media releases, latest news information, notifications, article submissions, obituaries, inspiration stories, pictures, sports updates, etc.. at [email protected]. When emailing submissions or content, please include content submission information in the subject line.

New is the opportunity to advertise!  Supporting local businesses and families is important and by offering the option to advertise, we hope to provide an additional outlet to help your business grow. Interested?  Contact us at [email protected].

I’m a dedicated, fair and objective reporter/journalist currently reporting and writing for the I-24 Exchange Newspaper, circulated and distributed each week to nearly 10000 residential mailboxes, in Northern Cheatham County, Tennessee. My main objective for Cheatham News is to provide current news coverage with a wide range of compelling topics that interest the youth of today, elderly and everyone in between through an online platform. Cheatham News will focus on local and county news including politics, breaking news, community schools, sports, city and county council meetings but there’ll be more the local news. I aspire to focus on what life is like, in our little corner of the world, where my family and I live in a small southern town. The southern sayins’, ole wives tales, recipes and mannerisms are a part of history I’d like to keep alive in the fast paced world of today. It brings me joy to share the uniqueness of life in a small southern town.
